In addition to leading her private practice, Beyond the Stigma AZ (beyondthestigmaaz.com), Jen Martin, MSN, PMHNP-BC, collaborates with The Scoggan Institute as an Independent Psychiatric Provider. Through this partnership, she provides comprehensive psychiatric medication management and therapeutic support to clients referred by our team. Although Jen operates independently, she is a valued member of The Scoggan Institute family, dedicated to bridging evidence-based psychiatric care with a warm, client-centered approach.

Education & Training

Jen holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Nursing Education and completed a post-graduate certificate program to become board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Her background includes diverse clinical settings, including labor and delivery, women’s health, hospice, and community-based psychiatric care.

Jen brings a deep understanding of both physical and emotional health across the lifespan. Her psychiatric training includes advanced psychopharmacology, diagnostic assessment, trauma-informed care, therapeutic communication, and she is currently working on a certificate for functional ADHD management. She has a clinical passion for working with clients navigating complex mental health challenges and is especially attuned to those who feel they have been misdiagnosed or mismanaged in their mental health care. Her clients often describe feeling truly heard and included in their treatment process.

Jen regularly incorporates functional and integrative tools, including genetic testing (such as GeneSight), nutritional supplementation, and lifestyle coaching when appropriate. She is known for her compassionate and collaborative approach that empowers clients to take an active role in their healing.
